The working group of “EU4Yerevan Solar Community” program implementation started meetings with condominiums to tell more about the program, the process of implementation and expected results.

According to the project solar photovoltaic systems will be installed on the roofs of 90 multistory buildings of Yerevan. which will provide electricity, elevators, public utilities, ladders, entrances. That will provide energy for elevators, common areas, staircases, entrances.

At the meeting held in Malatia-Sebastia district the head of the Department of Development and Investment Programs, the leader of the working group Tigran Sargsyan presented the heads of condominiums with the details of the program, the criteria of buildings selection and the procedure of filling in the questionnaires worked out for it. Before it local visits will be organized with various specialists. Such meetings are held in other administrative districts as well.

The program is being implemented by Yerevan Municipality within the frames of “Covenant of Mayors” initiative by the grant disbursed by the EU.
